Guide, Creator, and your ally in Home Education

Hi, I’m Bridget — the heart behind Early Chapters.

Teaching has always been more than a career for me; it’s something that feels deeply personal. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in literacy and began my journey in the public school classroom, where I had the privilege of teaching in classrooms across the elementary spectrum. Those years gave me a wide lens on child development and the academic progression across the elementary years.

But it was through private homeschooling education that my perspective truly expanded.

Working closely with families in a homeschool setting has allowed me to see education in a more relational, intentional way. Homeschooling creates space to slow down, to notice the child in front of you, and to build learning around their strengths, interests, and needs. I’ve had the joy of teaching across all subject areas — from foundational reading and writing to math, science, history, and enrichment — designing lessons that are thoughtful, flexible, and developmentally appropriate.

My background in literacy gives me a strong foundation in how children learn, but my passion extends far beyond one subject. I believe learning should be cohesive, hands-on, and rooted in curiosity. Whether we’re working through a math concept, exploring a science topic, or diving into a great book, my goal is always the same: to cultivate confidence, independence, and a genuine love of learning.

Early Chapters was created to support homeschooling families who want both warmth and structure — research-based practices paired with practical, real-life application. Everything I create and share is shaped by real teaching experience and a deep respect for the families I serve.

It is an honor to partner with parents in their child’s education. I’m so glad you’re here.
